Who's Taladrian?

Taladrian was born out of the mind of Eric Eilrich. He got a little bored one day, and this is what he came up with. An anthropomorphic fox, by the name of Taladrian Kairn. Anthropomorphic, or anthro, means hybrid, or humanoid. But anyway, here's this hybrid red fox, and now he's got nowhere to go. He needs to have somewhere that he came from... Well, Eric also had this world that he created, called Krygothia (that'll be explained elsewhere within this website.) Well, here's the background for Taladrian Kairn, soon-to-be legend in the world of Krygothia...

Born on a small, nameless island with his brother and sister, Taladrian grew up constantly fighting for dominance. He has always been considered the runt of the family, and is for some reason, the cause of his father’s instantly taking to him. Also being the last one of the three to learn to walk and speak, it was only his first of many obstacles to overcome. His father felt the survival instinct take hold of him, and drove Taladrian constantly to finish everything he started. Never give up on anything, and most of all… to drive himself. Honor was the most important factor in Taladrian, and his father. His father always took Taladrian out on his many ventures throughout the island, showing him the ropes, and survival techniques for if they were to ever be needed. At age five, Taladrian was taken out by his father on one of his many trips, and shown how to survive in the wilderness… in the caves… To live off the land and trees around him, and even the basics of hunting to be perfected when he was older. He always complained and whined about being made to go with his father, and Taladrian hated every bit of it… Especially when it involved him doing things on his own, without his father’s help. He was made to catch rabbits, and cook them. Shown how to make healing creams out of the leaves and grasses around him whenever he was injured or cut. Most of which stung tremendously upon first contact, but quickly faded and soothed within mere moments. Having spent two whole months alone with his father, Taladrian learned much about self-discipline and surviving in the wild. His father never was one to take it easy on his children when it came to completing things they started. Being the runt, he was picked on by some of the other children of the clan. Taladrian had few friends if any, his father being his only true one. Although he despised it when it came time to go out on one of his father's “journey’s”. When Taladrian reached age 8, his father was killed by a pack of raptors that attacked them while out on one of their expeditions. He has since developed a hatred for them. However, he has researched them and learned they can be quite dangerous when they are in groups larger than two. Even one can be a force to recon with. After his father's death, Taladrian was taken under wing by Juno, the clan's leader. Taladrian never quite understood the reasons for Juno having done this. After years of disinterest, this was unexpected of Juno and it wouldn't be until much later in life that Taladrian would discover the reasons why. Juno proved to be a fine guardian as he taught Taladrian the rest of everything he knows about surviving and discipline. Juno, being just as strict as any natural father, Taladrian soon came to develop a loathing for, but also a respect for Juno. Since his father's death, he became far more quiet among the clan than he already was. Few said much to him afterward for fear of Taladrian snapping at them with harsh words as he had once done shortly after his father’s death. Since then, he has not once been called “runt” or any other name pertaining to such. The last time anyone did so was three days after his father was killed, and that person regretted it. A brutal assault of words and a black eye was all it took to show the rest of them that Taladrian was never really the runt they thought he was. Age 13, and he still has no friends outside of Juno… except one. A wolf by the name of Zane is the only person he talks to, however little that actually is. Zane has the tendency to be the one talking, and Taladrian answers silently with nods or looks unless something that is said entices him to do otherwise, which is rare indeed, but intellectual when it happens. Now reaching his fourteenth birthday, it has come time for him to take the annual trials to prove himself to the clan that he is worthy of being one of its members. Taladrian sees now why his father and Juno pushed him so hard to learn to hide any fear, and to drive himself far beyond his known limits without them. His confidence that his father is watching over him gives him the strength to choose the one weapon that no one ever has before, the dagger… He is the first to choose such a small weapon and he isn’t sure that it was the right one, but his father’s teaching always made him go beyond what others expect. This, only to show that he is capable of doing things that others believed they couldn’t.

And that my friend's, concludes Taladrian's background. He has many more things to life ahead of him, but those have yet to be developed. Now, it's time for his description.. :Þ What does this fox look like? let's find out, `eh?

An anthro red fox, his acid green eyes staring out with a look of loneliness, but no longer the longing that was once in them. He wears only a small loin cloth, barely covering his vital areas, leaving the back side to be covered only by his tail. His thin but toned build can deal out more than it shows, making it easy for others to underestimate him. His legs are unhindered by clothing, giving them full flexibility. No shoes are on his feet, leaving his broad claws to show. The fur color varies from that of a normal red fox, in that instead of white for the underbelly, inner thigh, and tail tip, it shows more of a dark gray. The blackness of his paws gives him the look of wearing perfectly fitting biking gloves cut off after the first segment of the finger.
The pads of his hands and feet are the same dark gray color of the bottom of his muzzle to his underbelly and halfway down the inner thigh. It continues to flow under him and traces the bottom of tail as well, ending a foot down the four foot long tail.

And that as they say, is that! Now you know who Taladrian is... Someday, Eric will decide to make some backgrounds for the rest of the names mentioned, but hey, we'll have to wait and see before that'll happen... Not enough inspiration for them lately. But anywho, that's all for this page. :)
